Before I started working with my mental performance coach I had a lack in confidence. I was easily frustrated when it came to sports and I did not know how to let go of my mistakes. By working directly with my MPC I was able to develop strategies and tools to learn from my mistakes and I found the self-belief that I really can do anything if I focus and put my mind to it. The MPC also helped me greatly with my school and social life. Working with my MPC helped me become a better athlete and person.
Following a serious injury and multiple surgeries, I worked closely with a mental performance consultant to help me develop a personal and comprehensive mental imagery program to deal with the setback I was facing. My work with the MPC significantly contributed to my rehabilitation progress by converting mental strength into physical strength. I felt supported and empowered and I was provided with the imagery tools I needed. The mental exercises not only allowed me to effectively control my pain, but I am also confident that they shortened my recovery time. Without her support, I would not have been able to return to the field and confidently play the way I have: at the peak of my performance and mentally stronger than ever.
